Donnelly Energy helps small businesses throughout New Jersey become more energy efficient in the lighting and HVAC categories as a participating contractor for the PSE&G Direct Install program for New Jersey.

Job Description

Donnelly Energy is looking to hire community outreach specialists to join our team, with a big focus on education and business development.

This would be a full-time position based throughout New Jersey, with frequent travel for prospecting in our main county territories (but not limited to): Morris, Passaic, Burlington, Hunterdon, Monmouth, and Middlesex Counties. Having a reliable vehicle is a requirement.

We are looking for hungry, dynamic individuals who will be dedicated to educating and prospecting new commercial customers to participate in the Direct Install Program from PSE&G. Qualified candidates are extroverts who love meeting new people and are comfortable with cold calling; whether it is business-to-business, email, or phone. We need team members who are not afraid to get the message out there to the masses and can act as a brand ambassador for not only the Direct Install program, but Donnelly Energy itself.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily prospecting and educating of businesses within their assigned territory, with the end goal being to schedule high amounts of potential customers for free program assessments.
• Proactively maintain high number of leads/scheduled assessments to support sales goals.
• Staff local community fairs, conferences, and networking events to promote the program.
• Assist Marketing Director and Head of Business Development on larger-scale outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous community outreach, customer service, or business development experience preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. (Positive attitude is a plus!)
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

• Bi-lingual a plus

More About the Position

• Salary commensurate with experience (base + bonus)
• This role is in-person and based out of our Wayne, NJ office
• A gas card will be provided to cover expenses, as well as a monthly car and phone stipend
