Job Description
We are looking for an entry-level energy auditor and energy engineer to support energy auditing, feasibility study, engineering assessment and program related support activities.
Energy auditor is responsible for collecting existing facility information, energy into company developed tools or program develop tool and help develop deliverables i.e. proposals, energy audit reports and program support activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Visually inspects buildings and related systems including mechanical, electrical, and process systems to determine energy consumption in each area or system.
- Uses a variety of tools such as air velocity monitors or digital thermometers to collect field data related to energy use; analyzes the results.
- Performs appropriate and applicable tests to determine the extent of inefficiency.
- Establishes baselines for energy use and needs by quantifying energy consumption.
- Provides thorough education to end users regarding energy efficiency; fields and answers related questions.
- Identifies energy saving opportunities, calculating potential savings and prioritizing areas with the most return on investment.
- Composes and presents audit reports containing the results of the energy analysis and recommendations for improved energy efficiency.
- Recommends alternate energy sources and other energy efficient technologies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, with a demonstrated interest in energy conservation required.
- At least two years of experience conducting comprehensive energy audits required; three to five years preferred.
- Must have Valid Driver's license
- Certification as a building analyst required or in pursuit within six months.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office and other related software
- Experience with Energy Modeling Software eQuest,
- Some Experience on CAD - AutoCAD or similar software is plus
Relevant Experience
- 0-2 years of experience and any internship experience is plus
Physical Abilities
- Ability to travel to locations to conduct audits. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
