Job Description

The Training and Development Manager will oversee the implementation and management of the energy efficiency program rebate processing and customer service team. This role involves developing program goals, managing a team of rebate processors and customer service representatives, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote energy efficiency initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of energy efficiency programs, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of strategies for energy efficiency rebate program to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
• Manage a team of rebate processors and customer service representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate processing of rebate applications.
• Monitor daily performance, analyze data, and prepare reports on program metrics and outcomes of assigned team.
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines, regulations, and policies, and stay informed about changes and updates in the energy efficiency landscape.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including utility companies, government agencies, contractors, and community organizations.
• Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to program implementation and rebate processing.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of program documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and training materials.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, environmental science, energy management, or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy efficiency industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with program management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, practices, and rebate program processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Work Environment

• This position may require occasional travel to attend training sessions, meetings, or site visits.
• The role is primarily office-based with the possibility of remote work arrangements.
