Title:  Customer Outreach for EE

Optimal Energy, Inc.

Optimal Energy provides guidance and support on policy and regulatory strategy to a variety of public, not-for-profit, and private organizations.

We offer a range of strategic guidance and expert advice, supported by research and technical modeling, on utility regulatory and energy related policy issues.

Job Responsibilities

Duties:

Research, analyze, and identify targeted market segments and barriers to participation including both large and small businesses

Develop and implement outreach plans and strategies to increase program participation

Establish working relationships with market actors and trade allies

Attend and present at outreach events such as trade shows, conferences, and other efforts

Organize and participate in training activities and market initiative educational efforts

Schedule and lead site visits with potential program applicants

Identify and maintain a list of project leads

Work with program staff on selected customer projects within target markets

Lead, manage, and participate on teams and monitor progress on relevant action items assigned to other team members

Education/ Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Basic understanding of energy efficiency concepts and technologies

Knowledge of the New Jersey markets, including but not limited to commercial and industrial facilities

Understanding of factors influencing business market response to energy efficiency opportunities

Professional Skills

Demonstrated ability to be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Ability to develop working relationships and collaborate with customers and trade allies

Independent judgment, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software

Work Environment

Remote position based in New Jersey
