Job Description
Customer-oriented professional, hired to market residential visual energy assessments called Quick Home Energy Check-ups. Representative will educate customers on the energy saving education and direct install measure potential of the program while respecting the customer's right to refusal and following all program marketing guidelines. No selling, no money changes hands! Simply inform and opt in homeowners for the energy savings program that allows them to save money month after month through installation of energy savings products by our certified technicians!
Job Responsibilities
As a Program Marketing Representative, the Employee is required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner.
- Conduct door-to-door visits with utility customers to explain the QHEC program and generate interest in the energy saving program
- Assist the customer with signing up for QHEC appointments via the online scheduling system when interested in moving forward with the no-cost program.
- Establish appropriate expectations of the program with the customer, including but not limited to the fact that the QHEC technician will enter the home, will need to install all direct install measures, and will need to access the attic and basement as well as the HVAC equipment.
- Provide proper and timely reporting of sales progress to sales manager
- Interact with homeowners, answer questions regarding energy efficiency and how it applies to their home.
- Stay current on latest program initiatives, policies, procedures, etc.
- Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Strong self-sufficiency, interpersonal skill, and customer service
- Reliable, Honest, Self-Motivated with your own transportation and be available to canvass during daylight hours 5 days a week.
Preferred Skills
- Enthusiasm for energy conservation, home performance, and making an impact for homeowners.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical and program concepts to customers
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Employees are expected to work five days per week Monday through Friday from 11am – 6pm.

Salary
This position is commission only, $20 - $25 per completed QHEC appointment, based on experience and other factors. A full schedule of QHEC appointment slots will be provided each week (30-45 appointments per week on average).
